   Services

 

This practice provides a wide range of services. We would welcome your comments on our activities and be pleased to receive any suggestions and constructive criticism that may help us to improve our service.

The practice provides the following medical services.


Sexual Health

Available by appointment with he practice nurses and doctors for STD test and advice on sexual health matters.


Contraceptive Services

All doctors and the nurse practitioner offer a family planning service including emergency contraception within normal surgery hours. 


Phlebotomy Services

We offer this service in-house on Monday to Friday, 8.30 - 9.30am.


Nursing

Our practice nurses are available for:

  • travellers' health advice and immunisations
  • health promotion advice (Including healthy eating, alcohol and smoking cessation advice).
  • women's health ie contraception and cervical smears
  • general nursing procedures eg dressings, ear syringing and removal of sutures
  • health checks for those aged 75 years and over
     

Cervical Smears

These are performed by appointment with the practice nurses and occasionally by the doctors.
The results are sent to you by the Lambeth PCT. If you have not had your results within six to eight weeks you must contact the surgery.


Diabetic Clinic

This clinic is run by our diabetic specialists Dr. Kirkman and Dr. Siva.


Asthma Clinic

These are performed by appointment with any of the GPs or nurse but will require a double appointment.


Chiropody Clinic

We run a weekly chiropody clinic for our diabetic patients held on a Wednesday. This is only by appointment.


Dietician

The dietician can be seen on a Thursday every fortnight by appointment.


Counselling

The surgery offers a counselling service provided by Julie Bennett. In order for you to be seen the counsellor, you must first be referred to her by one of our GP's and in turn the Julie will contact you with an appointment. The counsellor can help with a broad range of problems such as anxiety and stress management, relationship difficulties and bereavement. If you think you may benefit from this service, please discuss it with a doctor or nurse.


Non-NHS Medical Examinations

The doctors carry medical examinations for insurance companies and other fitness medicals by appointment only. These include HGV licence's, taxi cab, elderly drivers and pre-employment medicals. There is a charge payable by the patient for these medicals. Please ask the receptionist for details.
